OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- James Bedwell, 72, of Olive Branch died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at Beverly Health and Rehab in Cape Girardeau. He was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Alexander County, in Illinois, son of Ira and Elsie Warren Bedwell. OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- James Bedwell, 72, of Olive Branch died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at Beverly Health and Rehab in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Alexander County, in Illinois, son of Ira and Elsie Warren Bedwell. He was raised by his grandparents, Lorenzo and Irene Bedwell, after his mother died when he was very young.

He was retired from Alton Memorial Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Baptist.

He is survived by cousins, aunts, uncles, half brothers and half sisters.

Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Carl Hester officiating.

Burial will be in Twente Cemetery near Olive Branch.
