BENTON, Mo. -- James Noel Backfisch, 54, of Benton died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, at his home. He was born Dec. 25, 1965, in Cape Girardeau to Charles and Delphine Glastetter Backfisch.
He worked in quality control at HAVCO.
He is survived by three daughters, Whittnie (Aaron) Stroud of Charleston, Missouri; Londyn (Grace) Swann of Louisville, Kentucky; and Darbe Backfisch of Benton; three grandchildren, Noah and Lyla Stroud and Eli Bambrough; five brothers, Paul (Nancy) Backfisch of Scott City, Sylvester (Lorene) Backfisch and Vernon (Linda) Backfisch of Benton, Dennis (Jana) Backfisch of Abilene, Texas, and Carl (Rebecha) Backfisch of Tucson, Arizona; five sisters, Norma (Rodney) Miller and Joyce (James) Austin of Benton; Mary (Thomas) Farris of Thebes, Illinois; Ruth Ann (Jere) Gowin of Kingsford Heights, Illinois; and Carol (Kenny) Lee of Chaffee, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Backfisch.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. Rosary service will be at 3 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be a private family service only. Burial will be in St. Denis Catholic Cemetery in Benton.
