SIKESTON -- Funeral for James M. "Pick" Arnold of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Rick Lasley will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Arnold, 75, died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 18, 1924, in Blodgett, son of Herbert C. and Ola Sailors Arnold. He and Fleta Jo Davis were married March 29, 1948.
Arnold was an assistant postmaster at Sikeston Post Office, where he worked 37 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Elks Lodge, and former member of Sikeston Jaycees.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Arnold of Crofton, Md., Mark Arnold of the home; two daughters, Kathryn Archie of Sikeston, Vickie Howard of St. Louis; three grandsons; and a great-grandson.
