SIKESTON -- James A. "Jim" Wilson, 60, of Sikeston, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1993, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.

He was born June 26, 1933, in Bloomfield, son of Woodrow and Virgie Cates Wilson. He and Dixie Edmondson were married May 27, 1956.

Wilson owned Jim Wilson Insurance and had been with Farmers Insurance Group 33 years.

He was a member of Sikeston Community Church, music director for Charleston Baptist Association, coached Sikeston Little League 22 years, member of SEMO Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame and President's Council of Farmer's Insurance Group. Wilson was the first inductee to the Honors Board at Sikeston Recreational Complex.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Mike Wilson of Sikeston; a daughter, Robin Seiler of Sikeston, two brothers, Jerry Wilson of Cape Girardeau, Farrell Wilson of Sikeston, and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Ralph Buckley will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
