Jacob Scott Schneider, 20, of Jackson died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at his home.

He was born March 27, 1989, in Cape Girardeau, son of Steven Lee and Judy Lynn Wollenweber Schneider.

Schneider graduated from St. Paul Lutheran School, and from Jackson High School on May 17, 2007. While in high school he played trumpet in the high school band.

He also worked part time at Woodards and Jackson Save-A-Lot. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Jacob was a junior at Southeast Missouri State University, majoring in mechanical and manufacturing systems.

He is survived by his parents of Jackson; a brother, Joseph Schneider of Maryville, Mo.; a sister, Casey Schneider of Manhattan, Kan.; maternal grandmother, Arlene Wollenweber of Shattuc, Ill.; two aunts, Linda (Denny) Blake of Memphis, Tenn., Ruth (Randy) Kent of Centralia, Ill.; and an uncle, John (Ramona) Carter of Blue Eye, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson, and from 9 a.m. to service time Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. at the church, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to Lutheran Family Services.
