DEXTER, Mo. -- Specialist Jacob J. Fields, 25, of Dexter passed away Monday, May 23, 2016.
He was born Feb. 9, 1991, in Michigan to Kelly and Bobbie Fraley Fields. He and Heather Fields were married Jan. 1, 2013.
Jacob was a specialist and chaplain's assistant in the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Fields of Dexter; father Kelly Fields of Oxford, Mississippi; mother Bobbie Fields of Dexter; son Malakai Fields, and one child on the way; two brothers, Nicholas and Bradley Fields of Dexter; paternal grandparents Jerry and Victoria Fields; maternal grandparents William and Katrina Fraley; paternal great-grandfather Cecil Berlin; father- and mother-in-law, Randy and Cindy Kellogg; brother- and sister-in-law, Chad and Sarah Kellogg; sister- and brother-in-law, Kim and Uriah Kiehl; and sister- and brother-in-law, Ali and Aaron Eisenhauer.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Chaplain Elliott Barrowclough officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
