EAST PRAIRIE, Ill. -- Funeral for Jackie Lee Wilmurth of O'Fallon, Ill., will be held at 3 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Jon Archie will officiate.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until service time.

Wilmurth, 55, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, at his home.

He was born Feb. 22, 1946, in East Prairie, son of James Thomas and Zella Mills Wilmurth.

Wilmurth was a 1964 graduate of East Prairie High School. He retired as a clerk with Southern Pacific Railroad in Scott City, Mo.

He had lived in O'Fallon the past eight years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Troy, Ill., a former Mason and 32nd Degree Scottish Rite and SEMO Shrine Clown Group.

Survivors include a son, Brian Wilmurth of Murray, Ky.; a daughter, Sandy Marrero of Franklin, Tenn.; two sisters, Clara Morgan of Kansas City, Darlene Wynne of Highland, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
