GRASSY, Mo. -- Jack Swartz, 71, of Grassy died Sunday, March 28, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 25, 1933, in Buchanan, Mich., son of James Franklin and Ada Slocum Swartz. He and Ruby Newell were married Jan. 30, 1956, in LaPort, Ind.
Swartz worked in maintenance at Wal-Mart, and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Marble Hill, Mo.
Survivors include a son, Mark Swartz of Gilroy, Calif.; a daughter, Pamela Charron of Glenallen, Mo.; a sister, Helen Pinto of Ventura, Calif.; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, and at United Pentecostal Church Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Jeff Wells officiating. Burial will be in Berrong Cemetery near Zalma, Mo.
