Jack W. Stovall, 76, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born May 21, 1940, in Dutchtown to the late Joseph O. and Beulah Greenlee Stovall.

Jack was a 1959 graduate of Delta High School. He served in the U.S. Army and spent time in Okinawa.

He and Nancy Sitzes were married July 11, 1964.

Jack worked for Fru-Con for 24 years as an electrician at the Procter & Gamble plant. He loved his work and could fix just about anything. He was a master craftsman for many years. Friends and family knew he could be called on any hour of the day and would be happy to help them with whatever needed to be fixed.

Over the years, Jack was involved with many church construction projects, including Bethel Assembly of God and New Life World Outreach Center. He was a church deacon, involved with Royal Rangers, a Sunday-school teacher and church board member.

His passion was antique International Harvester Farmall tractors. He shared this passion with several of his nephews, but especially with his nephew Bill Stovall.

Loving survivors include his wife, Nancy Stovall of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Joy (Christopher) Tyler of Cape Girardeau; sister, Leona Curry of St. Charles, Missouri; brother, Clyde (Juanita) Stovall of Hawk Point, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph E. Stovall; and sister, Virginia Stovall.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Christopher Tyler officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with military honors.
