MATTHEWS, Mo. -- Billy Jack Plunk, 69, of Matthews died Sunday, April 15, 2007, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Sept. 29, 1937, in Crump, Tenn., son of Virgil Dean and Bertie Estella Duren Plunk.
Plunk was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of Potter's House Ministries and Sikeston Eagles Aerie 3319.
Survivors include a son, Steve Plunk of Savannah, Ga.; a daughter, Shelly Plunk of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Kenny Plunk of Blodgett, Mo., Donald Plunk of Sikeston, Mo.; five sisters, Iris Billman of Benton, Mo., Opal Crossno of Collinsville, Ill., Martha Kraft of Freeburg, Ill., Dora Detterman of Cleveland, Ohio, Peggy Holman of Miner, Mo.; and two grandsons.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. John Givens officiating. Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery.
