JACKSON, Mo. -- Doyt Lolo "Jack" Mowery, 93, of Sonoma, Calif., died Saturday, July 28, 2001, at his home.
He was born in Ullin, Ill.
Mowery was a dentist, and lived in Jackson 50 years. He had lived in Sonoma 31 years.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Dental Association, Missouri State Dental Association, Southeast Missouri Dental Association, and Rotary Club of Jackson. He was a Paul Harris Fellow, and received the Silver Beaver Award for leadership in Boy Scouts of America.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Paul C. Mowery of Port Angeles, Calif.; a daughter, Guyn Wessel of Port Angeles; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Sonoma. Inurnment will be private.
Duggan's Mission Chapel in Sonoma is in charge of arrangements.
