SUNSET HILLS, Mo. -- Jack H. Mann left this world Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, dying of cancer at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis at the age of 69.
Jack attended Southeast Missouri State University and began his career as an educator with the Perry County (Missouri) School District. He was also employed by the Cape Girardeau and Nell Holcomb school districts. He retired after 29 years of service to children as a superintendent of Grandview R-2 School District in Hillsboro, Missouri.
Jack loved the beach, music, reading the newspaper/books in his recliner, outings with the grandkids, and flamingos.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Katherine Fowler Mann.
He is survived by his loving companion, Jane Bridges of Sunset Hills; sister, Anna (Nick) Powers of Florida; son, Justin (Julie) Mann of Imperial, Missouri; daughter, Sara (Justin) Richardson of Moscow Mills, Missouri; Jane's daughter, Alicia (Jon) Brent of Webster Groves, Missouri; and six cherished grandchildren, Brett and Logan Richardson, Nathaniel and Gabriel Mann, and Mae and Jane Brent.
There are no services planned at this time.
