SIKESTON -- Jackson B. "Jack" Carter, 73, of Fort Mohave, Ariz., died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in Bullhead City.

He was born July 2, 1925, in Sikeston, son of Alton and Mona Pansy Ables Carter. He and Norma Kellogg were married Feb. 8, 1952.

Carter had lived in Fort Mohave 38 years. He was employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Scottsdale, Ariz., 30 years, retiring in 1984.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; and a brother, Lester "Buddy" Limbaugh of Arden, N.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
