J. Daniel Brown, 45, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Aug. 23, 1998, at his home.
He was born July 23, 1953, at Cape Girardeau, son of James Owen and Joy Wolpers Brown. He and Mi Ae Pack were married Feb. 1, 1988, in Korea.
Brown was a field engineer for MCI Corp.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1971 to 1993, including 14 years of overseas duty, reaching the rank of technical sergeant. He was a life member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Daniel Joseph Brown of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Jamie Diane Brown of Cape Girardeau; his mother, Joy Brown of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Rodger O. Brown of Cape Girardeau and Thomas L. Brown of Willard; and two sisters, Penny Jo Hurst of Cape Girardeau and Carole Joy Richards of San Diego, Calif.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. The Rev. S.S. Borum will officiate, with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the U.S. Air Force and VFW Post 3838.
