SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Ivan Earl Francis, 85, of Springfield died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born May 18, 1931, in Painton, Missouri, to Ollie Earl and Duie Ivy Francis. Ivan was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force. SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Ivan Earl Francis, 85, of Springfield died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He was born May 18, 1931, in Painton, Missouri, to Ollie Earl and Duie Ivy Francis.

Ivan was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He received his bachelor's degree in business from Southeast Missouri State University.

He worked the majority of his career in the shoe industry and was vice president of Tobin-Hamilton Inc. in Mansfield, Missouri. He later became a business manager for Thomas Produce Co. Inc. in Boca Raton, Florida.

He was a member of Crossway Baptist Church in Springfield.

He is survived by two daughters, Sue (Stan) Green of Tulsa and Vicki (Craig) Laughlin of Plano, Texas; a brother, Donald Francis of Washington, Missouri; four grandchildren, Chad (Sarah) Green, Blake Green, Katie Laughlin and Sarah Laughlin; and three great-grandchildren, Harper Green, Reese Green and Cash Green.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Duie Francis; a brother, Alvin; and a sister, Juanita.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Maples officiating. Burial will be at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery in Marble Hill, Missouri, with full military honors by the Missouri Honors Team.
