PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Iva Hudson Reeser of Perryville died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Mo. She was born April 28, 1928, in Clear Lake, Iowa, daughter of the late Frank J. and Elsie B. (Gray) Hudson. She was married March 30, 1967, to Walter F. Reeser, who preceded her in death Jan. 1, 1998...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Iva Hudson Reeser of Perryville died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Mo.

She was born April 28, 1928, in Clear Lake, Iowa, daughter of the late Frank J. and Elsie B. (Gray) Hudson. She was married March 30, 1967, to Walter F. Reeser, who preceded her in death Jan. 1, 1998.

Survivors include four sisters, Sylvia Needham of Cincinnati, Ethel M. Renaud of St. Louis, Dorothy L. Taylor of Perryville and Thelma Jones of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; three brothers, Lawrence Hudson and Bernard Hudson of Barnhart, Mo., and Leonard Hudson of Perryville. She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews.

She was a waitress for Musial & Biggies for several years. She did volunteer work at Decatur Hospital Thrift Shop in Decatur, Ill., and at St. Vincent Thrift Shop in Perryville. She was lifetime member of Eagles and Elks clubs and was a member of the Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Hattie Hudson; and two brothers, Rollin and Francis.

Friends may call between 9 a.m. and the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Ethel Renaud will officiate.

Burial will be in the Cedar Fork Cemetery in Perry County.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Jefferson Regional Medical Center Hospice or Cedar Fork Cemetery.
