PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Iva Mae Pitman, 92, of Perryville died Sunday, April 15, 2001, in the Perry County Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 4, 1908, in Perry County, Missouri, daughter of Frank N. and Norah Belle Kennon Hand. She married Mitchel H. Pitman on April 10, 1926. He died July 23, 1984.
She was a retired inspector with International Shoe and a member of the Crossroads Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women's Missionary Society and the Perryville Chapter 46 Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Wayne Pitman of Perryville; a brother, George Hand of Panama City, Fla.; three sisters, Dosha Wilson of Arcadia, Mo., Myrtle Wilfong of Virginia Beach, Va., and Ada Friedrich of St. Louis; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a great-grandson.
Friends may call from 4:30-9 p.m. today at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville and from 6:30 a.m. until the time for the funeral Tuesday.
There will be an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the home cemetery in Perryville.
