BENTON, Mo. -- Iva Mae Laub, 70, of Benton died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Sept. 30, 1931, at Sikeston, Mo., daughter of William Lee and Iva Mae Gray Bohannon Sr. She and William Harold Laub were married April 3, 1948, at Kewanee, Mo...

BENTON, Mo. -- Iva Mae Laub, 70, of Benton died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 30, 1931, at Sikeston, Mo., daughter of William Lee and Iva Mae Gray Bohannon Sr. She and William Harold Laub were married April 3, 1948, at Kewanee, Mo.

Mrs. Laub was a licensed practical nurse. She volunteered at St. Francis Medical Center as a Pink Lady. She especially took pleasure in cooking for her family and playing the piano.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Kimberly Laub of Sikeston, Mo., LaDonna Laub of Cape Girardeau, Janice Keith of Jackson, Mo.; seven brothers, William Bohannon Jr. of Sikeston, Don Bohannon of Kenner, La., Clayton Bohannon of Sikeston, J.L. Bohannon of St. Louis, Roy Gene Bohannon of Decatur, Ill., the Rev. Dr. Glen Bohannon of Wilmington, N.C., and Larry Bohannon of Lebanon, Ohio.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mable Merrick of Sikeston, Dorothy Moore of Hartford, Ill.; three grandsons, Quinton and Mason Boardman of Sikeston, Kevin Keith of Jackson; and a granddaughter, Heather Sparks of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by a son, Lanny Joe Laub; two brothers, John and Gerald Bohannon; and a sister, Norma Pratt.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Glen Bohannon officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley, Mo.
