PARMA -- Iva Payne Davis, 77, of Parma, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 19, 1917, at Essex, daughter of Riley and Mae Smith Lape. She married Alvin Payne, who died Dec. 18, 1964. She later married Marvin Davis Aug. 1, 1982. He died March 20, 1992.
Davis lived most of her life in the Parma and Essex area, and attended Boyt School near Essex. She was a member of Parma Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include four sons, Robert Ritchey of Charleston, Hubert Richie of Sikeston, Alvin and Charles Payne of Parma; two daughters, Ruth Ashley of Sikeston, Brenda Westmoreland of Catron; two brothers, Harvey Lape of Slidell, La., Herb Lape of Clarkston, Mich.; a sister, Mable Hetchenburger of Cape Coral, Fla.;; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma after 2 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wedneday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Leon Belt and Tom Hall officiating. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery near Essex.
