Isabelle Kappler

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Isabelle Marie Kappler, 89, of Sikeston died at 11:23 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at the Miner Nursing Center.

She was born Oct. 7, 1921, at Oran, Mo., to the late George and Amanda Schwartz Gosche. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Sikeston and was a clerical office staff employee for 25 years for J.C. Penney Co. in downtown Sikeston and at the Kingsway Plaza Mall.

She was married to Albert Kappler on Nov. 25, 1944, at Oran. He preceded her in death April 5, 2009.

She is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, George A. Kappler of Sikeston, Steven R. and Lucia Kappler of Langle, British Columbia, Thomas F. Kappler of Long Beach, Calif., James K. and Theresa Kappler of Anderson, S.C.; a brother, Ralph Gosche of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Monsignor Joseph Gosche, and a sister, Cecilia Bisher.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Church, with the Rev. Glenn Eftink officiating. She will be buried at noon Tuesday in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
