ADVANCE -- Isabel Lewis Cole, 83, of Ferguson, died Thursday, June 6, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Aug. 15, 1912, at Bloomfield, daughter of Walter A. and Flora B. Capps Proffer. She first married Guile Milton Lewis in Piggott, Ark. He died in June 1944. She later married Carl Cole, who died Nov. 10, 1995...

ADVANCE -- Isabel Lewis Cole, 83, of Ferguson, died Thursday, June 6, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 15, 1912, at Bloomfield, daughter of Walter A. and Flora B. Capps Proffer. She first married Guile Milton Lewis in Piggott, Ark. He died in June 1944. She later married Carl Cole, who died Nov. 10, 1995.

Survivors include a daughter, Norma Jackson of St. Louis; a brother, Bloyce Proffer of Advance; a sister, Cleo Stevens of Advance; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. John Tolbert officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery near Advance.
