JACKSON, Mo. -- Irwin S. Shell, 83, of Jackson died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Aug. 3, 1917, north of Oak Ridge, Mo., son of Fredrich Mason and Elizabeth Irwin Shell. He and Erna Lenora Pohlman were married April 9, 1939.
Shell lived and farmed near Oak Ridge many years, retiring in 1975 and moving to Jackson. He was involved with MFA and other farm organizations.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. He was a former member, elder and treasurer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim.
Survivors include his wife.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Henrichs will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
