Irma Dell Schlegel, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born March 20, 1918, at Allenville, daughter of Noah and Adelia Kinder Young. She and Waldo A. Schlegel were married in 1936 in Blytheville, Ark. He died Aug. 10, 1990.
Mrs. Schlegel was a retired saleswoman from J.C. Penney. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and former Sunday school superintendent.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Patricia) Schlegel and Jeff Schlegel of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Douglas Waldo (Laura) Schlegel of Chesterfield, Mo., Matthew Seth (Kristen) Schlegel of Jackson, and Lesley Allyn (John) Werner of Missouri City, Texas; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
