Iris Dorine Southard, 91, of Leavenworth, Kan., died Thursday, Nov. 21, 1996, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Lansing, Kan. She was born Feb. 9, 1905, in Bentonville, Ark., daughter of Henry Clue and Elsie Bell Davis King. She and Eugene Lloyd Southard were married March 1, 1948. He died May 12, 1996...

Iris Dorine Southard, 91, of Leavenworth, Kan., died Thursday, Nov. 21, 1996, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Lansing, Kan.

She was born Feb. 9, 1905, in Bentonville, Ark., daughter of Henry Clue and Elsie Bell Davis King. She and Eugene Lloyd Southard were married March 1, 1948. He died May 12, 1996.

Southard was formerly of Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include a daughter, Virgie Self of Lansing; a brother, Hollis King of Topeka, Kan; a sister, Bernice Licklider of Greenville; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, five brothers and a sister.

Funeral service was held Nov. 25 at Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth. Burial was in Leavenworth National Cemetery.
