SCOTT CITY -- Service for Irene Sanders will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Eisleben Lutheran Church here, with the pastor, Rev. Daniel Wagner, officiating. Burial will be in the Eisleben Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home here, and from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Sanders, 76 years old, of Scott City, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Mar. 2, 1914, at Illmo, daughter of David Held and Amelia Sander Held.
She worked as a floor lady at Eli Walker before retiring.
She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church, and member of the Ladies Aid of the church.
She married John Mack Sanders on Dec. 24, 1934, at Illmo. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Richard Sanders of St. Louis; daughter, Evelyn Maurath, of St. Louis; brother, Clarence Held, of New Hamburg; three sisters, Edna Hagan, Marie Burger and Vera Mae Lohmann, all of Scott City; 9 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
