BENTON, Mo. -- Irene Anne Sadler, 72, of Benton died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 19, 1939, in Northampton, England, to Alfred and Pearline Hobbs Barker. She married Albert Ray Sadler Aug. 13, 1956. He preceded her in death Sept. 13, 1992.
Irene was a home caregiver and a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 6407 of Scott City.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald Ray Sadler of Arab, Mo., and Albert Wayne Sadler of Benton; two daughters, Pamela May Williams of Chaffee, Mo., and Vicky Anne Eldridge of Rowlett, Texas; two sisters, Pauline Emmert of Baltimore, Md., and Margaret Carr of Naples, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sons, Steven John, Norman William and Fredrick Paul Sadler; a sister; and a brother.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Ronald Ledbetter officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
