IRENE LIPPS

Irene Lipps, 96, 701 W. Rodney, died Friday, July 5, 1996, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 16, 1899, in Bollinger County, daughter of M.W. and Belle Lancaster Huffman. She and Otto Moore were married. He died in 1937. She later married N.J. Lipps in 1940 in Cape Girardeau.

Lipps was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She worked at the Lowenbaum Dress factories in both Cape Girardeau and Jackson.

Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Bierschwal of Cape Girardeau, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, a stepson, daughter, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m today.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Gallamore officiating. Burial will follow at Lorimier Cemetery.
