SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Mrs. Irene Lewis of Sikeston will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Daniel Kellum will officiate, with burial in Taylor Cemetery at Essex.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
Mrs. Lewis, 80 years old, died Monday, Jan. 7, 1991, at her home.
She was born March 4, 1910, at Ste. Genevieve, daughter of John and Sara Elizabeth Rector. She married Homer A. Lewis, who died Jan. 21, 1967.
Mrs. Lewis was a member of Smith Avenue Church of God.
Survivors include five sons, Frank Lewis of Sikeston, Virgil Lewis of Bloomfield, Emmett Lewis of Russellville, Ky., Ed Lewis of Arlington, Tex., Melvin Lewis of Dexter; five daughters, Lola Henson of Bloomfield, Ann Harp of Sikeston, Blanche Adams of Poplar Bluff, Carolyn Patterson of Idalia, Wilma Haley of Anniston; 45 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, brother, sister and four great-grandchildren.
