Irene Hite, 64, of Pulaski, Ill., died Friday, July 11, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 25, 1938, daughter of Henry and Alma Willis Steers.
Hite was employed as head cook at Cairo High School before her retirement. Hite was a member of and served as secretary of Modern American Woodmen Camp 219 in Cairo, Ill.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Edward Hite; a daughter, Cindy L. Hite of Columbia, Mo.; three sons, Charles Edward Hite Jr., John R. Hite and Thomas J. Hite, all of Cairo; a brother, John H. Steers of Olmsted, Ill.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren .
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Buddy Walls officiating. Burial will be in Cairo City Cemetery at Villa Ridge.
