WEST POINT, Miss. -- Irene S. Schnaare Florreich, 74, of West Point died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at TLC Personal Care Home in Starkville, Miss.
She was born Jan. 8, 1926, near Olmsted, Ill., in Pulaski County, daughter of Werner and Josphine Holhubner Schnaare.
She married Russell T. Florreich April 13, 1946, in Olmsted.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Columbus, Miss. She was a homemaker and teacher's aide at Southside Elementary School for 13 years. She moved from Belleville, Ill., to West Point in 1956.
Survivors include her husband, Russell T. Florreich; three sons, Gary Florreich of Abita Springs, La., Dennis Florreich of Meridian, Miss., and Jeffery Florreich of Birmingham, Ala.; two daughters, Beverly Yocheced of Cfar Tapuah, Israel, and Susan Brechtel of Elko, Nev.; two brothers, John Schnaare of Olmsted and Kenneth Schnaare of Huntsville, Ala.; four sisters, Bertha Curry of Villa Ridge, Ill., Elsie Shaffer of Dongola, Ill., Agnes Thurston of Pulaski, Ill., and Margaret Thompson of Jefferson City, Mo.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. George Swanson officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point.
Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge is in charge local arrangements.
