Iona Reed

TAMMS, Ill. -- Iona V. Reed, 82, of Havana, Ill., formerly of Tamms, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

She was born Dec. 13, 1923, in West Hickman, Tenn., daughter of George and Alice Palmer Shelby. She married Melvin Reed, who died March 3, 1988.

Reed worked many years at Landshire Foods in Belleville, Ill.

Survivors include a sister, Eula Scheland of Havana.

She was preceded in death by a sister, a brother and a half sister.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Olive Branch Cemetery.
