IOLA STEINBECKER

PERRYVILLE -- Iola V. Steinbecker, 85, of Perryville died Sunday, May 11, 1997, at La Verna Village Nursing Home in Savannah.

She was born Feb. 4, 1912, in Perryville, daughter of Frank and Anna Baudendistel Zoellner. She married Gilbert P. Steinbecker. He died Sept. 10, 1983.

She was a homemaker.

She belonged to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, Daughters of Isabella Circle 365, Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Knights of Columbus Council 1263 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by two sons, Roger Steinbecker of Philadelphia, Pa., and Terry Steinbecker of St. Joseph; a sister, Dorothy Coen of Perryville; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and a son.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and 6:30 to 9:40 a.m. Tuesday at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin P. Fausz officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
