CHARLESTON -- Inez Pierce Pemberton, 96, of Charleston died Monday, July 8, 1991 at the Charleston Manor. She was born Oct. 20, 1894 in Mississippi County, daughter of Cortez and Hattie Pierce. She lived in Mississippi County her entire life. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Charleston where had served as the organist for many years. CHARLESTON -- Inez Pierce Pemberton, 96, of Charleston died Monday, July 8, 1991 at the Charleston Manor.

She was born Oct. 20, 1894 in Mississippi County, daughter of Cortez and Hattie Pierce.

She lived in Mississippi County her entire life. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Charleston where had served as the organist for many years. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

On May 2, 1913, she married George Lee Pemberton. He preceded her in death Nov. 10, 1966.

One daughter, Dorothy Gail Harrison, and one grandson also preceded her in death.

Survivors are one grandson, Steve Moore, of Charleston; two great grandchildren, Paul Moore and Stephanie Moore, both of Charleston' and one son-in-law, George Harrison of Charleston.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Burial will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
