Inez Holder, 77, of Jackson, formerly of Scott City, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at the Jackson Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Aug. 14, 1926, at Black Oak, Ark., daughter of Robert and Myrtle Hurt Nance. She married Bobby Wiggins, and later married Eugene Holder. Both preceded her in death.

Holder worked for 19 years at the former Lowenbaum Dress Factory and then the former Ralph Edwards Jacket Factory in Cape Girardeau. In 1985 she began working at Blair Industries in Scott City and retired in 1998 due to her failing health. She attended New Bethel Baptist Church east of Pocahontas and had lived at the Jackson Manor since November 2003.

Loving survivors include her son, Bobby C. Wiggins and his friend Janet Keesee, both of Jackson; three grandchildren, Christina O'Nove of Georgia, Marsha Baber of Scott City and Daniel Wiggins, who is stationed in Germany; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, one brother and three sisters.

Friends may call at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. John Rhodes will officiate, with burial in New Bethel Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Foundation, the American Cancer Society, New Bethel Cemetery Fund or Southeast Hospice.
