BELL CITY, Mo. -- Inez D. Abner, 97, of Bell City passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at her home.
She was born Sept. 13, 1915, in Arbor, Mo., the daughter of Obe and Addie Kynion Watts. Inez had been a homemaker and a member of the Bell City United Methodist Church. Inez and John Howard Abner were united in marriage Sept. 10, 1932, in Bloomfield, Mo., and he preceded her in death June 20, 1993.
Survivors include two sons, Howard "Shotgun" (Sandy) Abner of Advance, Mo., and Don (Trish) Abner of Bell City; six daughters, Doris Hess of Bell City, June (Alfred) Jordan of Advance, Virginia (Pat) Niemczyk of Bell City, Sherrie Barrick of Bloomfield, Barbara (Fred) Brown of Bell City and Rhoda Burton of Bell City; 21 grandchildren; John Abner, who was raised as a son; 31 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jim Robinson and the Rev. Sue Wilborn will officiate. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Bell City.
