SIKESTON, Mo. -- Imogene Patrick Wheeler, 90, of Sikeston, formerly of Bell City, Mo., passed away Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at her daughter's home in Sikeston.
She was born April 3, 1918, in Indianapolis, daughter of Clarence and Anna Jessup Patrick. She and Gene Wheeler were married April 3, 1947, in Glenwood, Ind. He preceded her in death Sept. 26, 2002.
Imogene was a homemaker. She was a member of Bell City United Methodist Church and also a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Michael (Nancy) Wheeler of Sikeston; a daughter, Becky (Joe) Karnes of Sikeston; two granddaughters, Suzanne Lambert of Sikeston, Tara Eddy of Portugal; and a great-granddaughter, Makenzie Eddy of Portugal.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo., with the Rev. Pat Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City.
