EAST PRAIRIE -- Imogene Alice Powers, 82, of Mulkeytown, Ill., died Monday, March 3, 1997, at Fair Acres Nursing Home in DuQuoin, Ill. She was born Feb. 7, 1915, in Marion, Ky., daughter of Charles Allen and Anna Pearl Morell Love. She and William Eddie Powers were married Nov. 26, 1939. He died March 11, 1970...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Imogene Alice Powers, 82, of Mulkeytown, Ill., died Monday, March 3, 1997, at Fair Acres Nursing Home in DuQuoin, Ill.

She was born Feb. 7, 1915, in Marion, Ky., daughter of Charles Allen and Anna Pearl Morell Love. She and William Eddie Powers were married Nov. 26, 1939. He died March 11, 1970.

Powers moved to Mulkeytown 18 years ago from East Prairie.

Survivors include two daughters, Helen Lancaster of Royalton, Ill., Norma Hood of DuQuoin; two sisters, Bertha Treadwell and Jewell Broadhacker of Mulkeytown; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 10 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
