IMOGENE KOEHN

ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Thelma Imogene "Imy" Koehn of Anna will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. Rick Hertenstein will officiate. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Friday.

Koehn, 84, died Sunday, July 15, 2001, at Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County in Murphysboro, Ill.

She was born Feb. 9, 1917, in Paducah, Ky., daughter of Byron and Mittie Phelps Downs. She and George Byron Koehn were married Feb. 14, 1937, in Mayfield, Ky. He died Jan. 2, 1986.

Koehn was a former writer of Tee Tales for the Gazette Democrat. She was a member of St. John's Methodist Church in Sebring, Fla.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan Reed of Anna, Sallie Cross of Greenwood, Ark.; two sons, Alan and Byron Koehn of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister, Londa Powers of Jackson, Miss.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
