DONGOLA, Ill. -- Imogene Davidson, 73, of Dongola was found dead Sunday, Oct. 18, 1998, at her home.

She was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Anna, daughter of Grover and Ruth Vancil Simmerman. She and Paul Davidson were married Sept. 24, 1942. He died Feb. 10, 1996.

Davidson was an assistant and hostess at Ford and then Crain Funeral Home in Dongola many years. She and her husband had also participated in craft shows.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church and participated in its Willing Hands Group. She had been a 4-H leader many years, and former member of a home extension club.

Survivors include a son, Bobby Davidson of Chandler, Ariz.; two daughters, Carole Eddleman of Anna, Linda Davidson of Genoa City, Wis.; two sisters, Pauline Nordmeyer of Decatur, Juanita Phillips of Hazelwood, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Poole officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
