DEXTER -- Idaleane Virginia Heaton, 73, of Dexter died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 8, 1926, at Charleston, daughter of Thomas and Emma Whitlock Donaldson. She and James W. Heaton were married June 26, 1946. He died July 27, 1992...

DEXTER -- Idaleane Virginia Heaton, 73, of Dexter died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 8, 1926, at Charleston, daughter of Thomas and Emma Whitlock Donaldson. She and James W. Heaton were married June 26, 1946. He died July 27, 1992.

Heaton lived at Bloomfield most of her life, moving to Dexter in 1995. She attended Lighthouse Christian Church.

Survivors include five sons, James Heaton Jr. and Harold Heaton of Dudley, Billy Heaton of Poplar Bluff, Buddy Heaton of Bloomfield and Danny Heaton of Marlow, Ky.; six daughters, Nellie Allen of Scottsdale, Ariz., Patricia Wood and Dorothy Keith of Bloomfield, Brenda Laffoon and Lisa Rieffer of Dudley and Ocie Robinson of Dexter.

Also surviving are a brother, Howard Donaldson of Charleston; a sister, Betty Brown of Bertrand; 32 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tim Russell officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
