SIKESTON, Mo. -- Ida Lou Wimberley, 64, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born March 27, 1937, in Prairie, Miss., daughter of William and Isa Bell Coplin Dodds. She and Oneal Wimberley Sr. were married Jan. 14, 1965, in Wickliffe, Ky...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Ida Lou Wimberley, 64, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born March 27, 1937, in Prairie, Miss., daughter of William and Isa Bell Coplin Dodds. She and Oneal Wimberley Sr. were married Jan. 14, 1965, in Wickliffe, Ky.

Wimberley had been a sewing machine operator at International Hat Co. in Oran, Mo., and worked on the finishing line at Hammond Organ (Sikeston Woodworking). She was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jimmy Wimberley of Blodgett, Mo., Pete Wimberley of Sikeston; two daughters, Susan Hoffmann and Candy Dirickson of Sikeston; two stepsons, Donald Wimberley of Tyler, Texas, Wayne Wimberley of Gonzales, La.; four stepdaughters, Bonnie Adams of Sikeston, Carolyn Dill of Atlanta, Ga., Wanda Compass of Festus, Mo., Barbara Trombetta of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Della Dodds and Ruby Rhyne of Sikeston; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Revs. Amos Johnson and Steve Vester officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley, Mo.
