ANNA, Ill. - Anna resident Ida Sitter Ury died Sunday, March 29, 1992 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro. She was 92.
She was born Oct. 17, 1899 at Anna, daughter of the late Jefferson and Lucy Williams Sitter. She married Grover Ury, who died in 1965.
She owned the Ury Apartments in Anna, was a retired school teacher from Elco and Upper Elso grade schools, and attended St. Johns Lutheran Church. Ury and her husband owned and operated a farm near Jonesboro for many years.
Surviving are sisters-in-law Mrs. Lawrence Sitter and Mrs. Oscar Sitter, both of Anna, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the fifth of 10 children and was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and on Tuesday until the time of service. Burial will be in the Anna Cemetery.
