IDA HOFFMEISTER

JACKSON -- Funeral service for Ida B. Hoffmeister of Jackson will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Hoffmeister, 80, died Monday, March 18, 1996, at Jackson Manor.

She was born Feb. 2, 1916, at Gordonville, daughter of Herman and Mary Voges Hoffmeister.

Hoffmeister worked on the family farm, retiring in 1977 and moving to Jackson. She was a lifelong member of St. James United Church of Christ at Tilsit, and was a Sunday School teacher many years.

Survivors include three nephews, Harold Hoffmeister of Gordonville, Lloyd E. and Larry Hoffmeister of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
