FROHNA -- Funeral service for Ida H. Meister of Frohna will be held at 2 p.m. today at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg. The Rev. Luther Herman will officiate, with burial in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:30 a.m. to service time.
Meister, 97, died Monday, April 10, 1995, at Perry Oaks Nursing Home in Perryville.
She was born May 14, 1897, in Jacob, Ill., daughter of Henry and Lena Haenlyn Weseloh. She and Rudy Meister were married April 30, 1916. He died Oct. 4, 1988.
Meister was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.
Survivors include two sons, Fremont Meister of Indianapolis, Ind., Milbert Meister of Altenburg; two daughters, Lenora Hacker of Paris, Tenn., Verna Hoehn of Perryville; two half brothers, George Darnsteadt of Jacob, Ed Darnsteadt of Murphysboro, Ill.; two half sisters, Christine Leimbach of Alton, Ill., Rose Versemann of Murphysboro; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, two half sisters and two half brothers.
