ANNA, Ill. -- Ida M. Lentz Aden, 81, of Anna died at 12:36 a.m. Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Southeast Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born June 15, 1933, in Ullin, Illinois, the daughter of Harvey and Bertha Wilkerson Lentz. She married the love of her life, Jack Aden, on May 20, 1951. He preceded her in death April 6, 1989.
Ida worked at the Union County assessor's office and retired from there in 1995. Also, she had worked for Anna Farm Fresh for many years.
Ida enjoyed reading and finding out her family history by doing genealogy. She loved and cherished her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed online gaming with her children. Ida was a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Nedra Aden of Anna; sons, Kerry (Sherry) Aden of Cape Girardeau, Kevin Aden of Austin, Texas, and Roger (Terri) Aden of Anna; daughter-in-law, Tammie Aden of Anna; grandchildren, Kerrigan Moser, Jeremy Aden, Jaxom Aden, Kim Pender, Kevin, Michael and Kyle Aden; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Dale Aden, on July 30, 2014; brother, Leon Lentz; and sister, Shirley Lentz.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home Anna-Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dare Aden officiating. Interment will be in Anna City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
