HURMAN H. STRATMAN

ADVANCE -- Hurman H. Stratman, 74, of Advance, died Sunday, March 7, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 10, 1918, at Zalma, Mo., son of William and Venita Bess Stratman.

He married Irene Hardesty on Dec. 23, 1960 in Advance.

Stratman was a member of the First Baptist Church of Advance.

He retired after more than 31 years as an educator. For the last 17 years he served as principal of the Zalma Schools.

Survivors include his wife; a sister, Lillie Glasner, of Puxico, Mo.; and a sister-in-law who the family raised as a daughter, Ruby Hardesty of Advance.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and five half-brothers.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, with the Rev. Ed Shirrell officiating and Brother Charles May assisting.

Burial will follow in Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance.
