SIKESTON -- Hurley Laster, 88, of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., formerly of Sikeston, died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 8, 1909, in Fulton County, Ky., son of Thomas O. and Maggie Sue Carroll Laster.

Laster retired as an electrician with Missouri Utilities Co.

Survivors include a son, Gary Laster of Ft. Walton Beach; a stepson, David Bailey of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Taft Laster of Tennessee; three sisters, Inez Laster of Michigan, Thelma Laster of Arizona, Sue Laster of West Virginia; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Geers will officiate.
