Hurl J. Dale, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Feb. 7, 1929, in Advance, son of William L. and Pearlie L. Rhodes Dale. He and Josephine R. Tanner were married Jan. 9, 1951, in Piggott, Ark. She died April 14, 1990.
Dale worked at Sunbeam Corp. in Chicago five years, at Cape Girardeau Public Schools 17 years, at Powers Amoco three years, and at Auto Trim Design two years.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include four sons, Dan Warren Sr. and Derrick Dale of Scott City, Ernest Warren of Greenville, N.C., James Dale of Jackson; a daughter, Debbie Dale of Marshall; three brothers, Lester Dale of Poplar Bluff, Dillard Dale of Cape Girardeau, Eugene Dale of Jackson; three sisters, Wilma Wyatt of Tallulah, La., Thelma Ellis of Casey, Ill., Elizabeth Smith of Jackson; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. The Rev. Doyle W. Randol will officiate. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery at Marble Hill.
