JACKSON -- Funeral for Hulda M. Sides of Jackson will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Rev. David Johnson will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, and at St. Paul Church after 10 a.m. Thursday.
Sides, 87, died Monday, July 6, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 27, 1910, in Gordonville, daughter of William and Augusta Hanselmann Nagel. She and Wilson P. Sides were married Nov. 6, 1932. He died Aug. 5, 1988.
Sides moved to Jackson in 1954 from Gordonville. She had worked at Shade's Cafe, and operated a day care in her home many years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son, Paul Sides of Jackson; three daughters, Ella Kuntze, Verla Wille and LaVerne Wilke, all of Jackson; a sister, Alma Bodenstein of Gordonville; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
