Howard Junior Reece, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born May 26, 1942 in Jackson to Howard Densel and Velma M. Jauch Reece.
Howard and Saundra Meier were married July 2, 1966, at Tilsit.
He worked for Floyds Equipment Co. for several years and Erlbacher Materials for over 30 years.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
He loved his grandchildren and attending their games.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Brian Reece of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Evelyn (Gerald) Eaker of Jackson; and two grandchildren, Abigail and Corrine Reece.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gregory Reece; two brothers, Billy (Marilyn) Reece and Jerry (Shirley) Reece; and two sisters, Wilma Gene Crader and Betty (Ivan) McLain.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Short officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
